About
Karley
Karley’s photography is rooted in noticing—the people, the connection, and the small moments that give a photograph its meaning.
With a background in photography, design, and creative direction, she brings an intentional eye to composition, color, movement, and detail, while leaving room for life to happen naturally. She is drawn to what feels real: the way people reach for one another, the personalities that emerge when no one is performing, the perfectly imperfect moments, and the things happening just outside the obvious frame.
Working with both digital and analog film, Karley approaches photography with a balance of instinct and intention. She’ll offer direction when it serves the moment and step back when it doesn’t, creating imagery that feels artful without feeling overly constructed. Her photographs are warm, honest, a little nostalgic, and full of life.
Whether photographing a wedding, a family, or two people in love, Karley is less interested in creating a perfect version of a moment and more interested in seeing what is already there—the beauty, humor, tenderness, movement, and connection that make it yours.
Her photographs are shaped by the art of noticing what matters—the people, the feeling, and everything unfolding in between.

My approach is a blend of documentary and editorial—honest, observant imagery with an intentional eye. I’m drawn to real connection, beautiful composition, and the small moments unfolding in between. I’ll step in with direction when it’s helpful, while leaving plenty of room for things to happen naturally.
-
Absolutely. Most people I photograph tell me this! You don’t need to know what to do or how to pose. I’ll offer direction when you need it, but mostly I want you to settle in, be together, and forget about the camera a little. The best photographs tend to happen somewhere in between.
-
Yes! Once you’re booked, I’ll help you think through location, timing, wardrobe, and the little details that can make your session feel like you. Family clients will also receive my session guide so you can feel prepared without overthinking it.
-
For weddings, I recommend reaching out as soon as you have your date and venue. For family, couple + portrait sessions, a few weeks to a few months ahead is usually perfect. Fall, spring, and seasonal dates tend to fill more quickly.
-
A signed contract and retainer fee officially reserve your date. Once those are complete, you’re on my calendar! The remaining balance is due prior to your wedding or session date.

Every gallery is thoughtfully edited and curated to tell the full story of our time together. The final number varies depending on the type and length of coverage. Rather than focusing on a specific number, I prioritize a complete gallery that holds the people, feeling, and moments worth remembering.
-
Wedding galleries are delivered within 7 weeks, and family, couple + portrait sessions within 2 weeks. Every gallery is thoughtfully edited and curated with care. When my schedule allows, I’m always happy to deliver sooner.
-
Please still reach out. I believe photographs and the memories they hold are worth making space for. While I can’t always accommodate every budget, I’m happy to hear what you’re hoping for and see if there’s a way to create a custom option that works for both of us. Sometimes that might mean adjusting coverage, simplifying a collection, or finding another way to make it work.
Making meaningful photographs accessible to more people matters to me, so it never hurts to ask.
